Here is a partial list of past events that were funded by grants from the Lincoln Cultural Council (LCC).
Lincoln-Sudbury Garden Club - LCC provided funding which helped this student-run garden club to purchase materials for the construction of a greenhouse. The greenhouse project has allowed the LSRHS Garden Club to increase its yield of plants and further raise awareness of agricultural practices and local produce gardening among the Lincoln-Sudbury community.
Codman Estate Lecture Series - A lecture on Ogden Codman Jr.’s contribution and influence in early 20th-century interior design movements, Colonial Revival, and historic preservation which included a general history of blue and white porcelain from Holland and Asia, letters between Ogden Codman Jr. and Edith Wharton and other fascinating facts about this local family.
Rowena Sy-Santos at the Clark Gallery -“A Woodland Cinderella” and other tales and puppet show and reading from The Froggy Fable, a children’s book.
Artist Shing Hsieh - workshops at Bemis Hall which included: “The Craft of Art”: A series of workshops that exposed participants to various artistic disciplines such as jewelry design and creation, painting, fabric arts and book making.
deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum - LCC grant contributed to funding for an April Vacation Week program entitled, Art and the Environment. In this series of workshops for children explored the artistic connections with the environment.
