Town Treasurer / Tax Collector

The Treasurer/Collector:

Serves as Custodian of Funds for all town monies
Attempts to maximize investment income
Ensures the payment of the town's bills to its creditors and payroll checks to its employees
Administers the town and school system benefits program
Manages all debt that has been authorized by vote of the Town Meeting
Ensures the timely collection of outstanding bills owed to the town
Manages the proper, timely mailing of all tax and water bills and an accurate accounting of all bills owed to the town
Protects the interests of the town by utilizing all means of enforcement in the collection of amounts owed to the town
