Committee Charge

The Town Administrator is organizing and appointing a staff Diversity and Inclusion Committee to provide recommendations to help ensure that the working environment throughout Town government is respectful, fair, and inclusive of all people and perspectives. The Committee will assess existing organizational polices, practices and culture, identify opportunities for improvement, organize and implement programs and initiatives to achieve desired goals, and continue to assess progress over time. Best efforts will be made to ensure that the Committee’s membership is reflective of the diversity of our staff, and the different roles we play in service to our residents. The Committee shall elect its own leadership and establish its own organizational norms, with the expectation that Committee members will be sensitive to the sometimes-emotional nature of the topics and foster a trusting, tolerant and respectful team environment.
